Student Related Forms and Polices.

Charter schools should consider adopting policies regarding specific aspects of charter school operations, including but not limited to:

  • student discipline, suspension and expulsion
  • maintenance, disclosure, and transfer of student educational records
  • student attendance
  • student dress codes or uniform policies

Consult the selected sample documents below, and use them as a guide in drafting policies appropriate for your school. Be sure to consult your legal counsel when drafting these policies, especially discipline and student records policies, to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
