Effective communications and community outreach are critical to building support for your school, whether you are trying to reach potential students and their families, the larger community, elected officials or the media. Engage your audience to showcase the strength of your school and demonstrate that charters are transforming public education and the lives of children in your region and across the state!

Here are some ways that CCSA provides communications support to our members:

  1. Reviewing and providing feedback on marketing and press materials
  2. Distributing press releases
  3. Putting schools in touch with their local media
  4. Providing online communications training
  5. Providing tip sheets and resources.

A great place to start is by evaluating your current materials and outreach using our Communications and Marketing Checklist. What are you already doing right and where could you make improvements?

Are you a school developer? This tip sheet and check list has recommendations for every step of the development cycle.

If you can't find an answer to your question here or need some advice specific to your school and region, email CCSA's communication team.
