New UCLA study finds that "students attending a cluster of Los Angeles schools overseen by the charter operator Green Dot significantly increased their test scores and persistence in school, and took more challenging courses than comparable peers," according to Education Week.

St. HOPE Public School 7 Continues Outstanding Achievement on the CSTs and maintains API
For the seventh consecutive year PS7 showed gains on the CST, both overall and relative to their peers. PS7 students were the highest performing students in the Sacramento City Unified School District on ten of seventeen CSTs and they were the second, third or fourth highest performing on three additional exams.

Public School Choice Charter Schools Outperform District-Run Programs
Charter schools that opened under the first round of the Los Angeles Unified School District's Public School Choice (PSC 1.0) initiative last fall are largely outperforming district-run PSC programs, according to STAR testing results. Despite these promising results, on Tuesday, the LAUSD board is set to decide whether to continue to allow charter schools to apply for new schools under this reform initiative.
