5,000+ L.A. Parents Demand Better Public Schools at the "Schools We Can Believe In" Rally

On Saturday, Feb. 4, well over 5,000 parents, students and teachers from across Los Angeles joined education officials and leaders for the "Schools We Can Believe In" rally at Exposition Park, to demand high-quality public schools in every neighborhood, quality space and equal funding for all public school students.

Thousands of L.A. Parents Will Rally for "Schools We Can Believe In" on Saturday, Feb. 4
op city officials and education leaders are expected to join thousands of parents at a citywide rally this Saturday, February 4, at Exposition Park in front of the L.A. Memorial Coliseum to demand better public schools in Los Angeles. Among the featured speakers are Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, LAUSD Board President Mónica García and Superintendent John Deasy.

L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Receives Award, Discusses Education at 18th Annual Charter Schools Conference
Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles, was named the Elected Leader of the Year at the 18th Annual Charter Schools Conference in San Diego. The Mayor discussed education, and called for more collaboration between school districts and charter schools.
