Five Los Angeles high schools operated by Green Dot Public Schools - Ánimo Inglewood, Ánimo Jackie Robinson, Ánimo Leadership, Ánimo South Los Angeles and Oscar De La Hoya Ánimo Charter High Schools - are among the best public high schools in the nation at preparing students for college, according to Newsweek's annual rankings. All five were named to the list for a second year in a row.

Cristina de Jesus, Ed.D., President and CEO of Green Dot Public Schools in California, said "We are proud our schools again made Newsweek's America's Best High Schools...This type of independent recognition helps reaffirm our commitment to providing our students with a safe, small-school environment that continues to produce the results we seek: to prepare all of our students for college, leadership and life."
