21st Annual California Charter Schools Conference: "Achievement through Innovation" Kicks-Off March 4, 2014 in San Jose (Pre-Conference Programs Begins March 3)

(San Jose, California) - Nearly 3,000 charter school leaders and supporters will gather to celebrate people, innovation and academic achievement in California's charter schools. The California charter school movement is the largest in the nation by far and is growing every year, with 1,130 schools currently serving 519,000 students statewide. Hosted by the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA), the three-day annual conference draws the charter movement's best and brightest leaders, teachers, parents, and supporters.

Why: The California Charter Schools Conference has been held annually for 21 years, offering resources, guidance and advocacy support to a charter movement that has grown to 1,130 schools serving 519,000 students. This year seven Hart Vision Awards will be presented to volunteers, schools, teachers, elected officials, and community leaders. Five students graduating from CCSA member charter schools from across the state will also be recognized and each will receive a $1,500 Susan Steelman Bragato Scholarship Award.
Some participants will kick-off the conference activities on Monday, March 3 with a bevy of pre-conference programs. Learn more about the event.
