May 6, 2012 This year, National Charter Schools Week (May 6-12, 2012) will celebrate the 20th year anniversary of the charter school movement across the U.S.
Over the past two decades, charter schools in California have had a positive impact in transforming public education. We currently have 982 charter schools serving over 412,000 students, the most of any state in the nation. But our growth isn't limited to numbers. Our charters are changing the lives of students everywhere.
CCSA has put together a series of daily blogs that will run each day of National Charter Schools Week that will showcase some of these success stories. Visit our News Blog every day to find profiles of some of our charter leaders, students and schools.
Also, follow us on Twitter and Facebook to read charter school fun facts, and to share your ideas with us.
