Pre-Conference Workshop Helps Schools Access Funds through the Public Charter School Grant Program

The California Charter Schools Association is proud to announce the return of a free one-day pre-conference program, the Public Charter School Grant Program (PCSGP) Workshop. This event is full of trainings and resources to help your school access funds through the Public Charter School Grant Program.

The workshop will be held on Monday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 307 of the Sacramento Convention Center. The workshop will cover the following PCSGP topics:

  • Attorney panel discussion and Q&A on governance and fiscal legal issues.
  • Teacher evaluation, professional development recruitment and retention.
  • Guidance from successful applicants.
  • Financial management.
  • CDE Staff presentation with a specific focus on work plan requirements and budget development.

How to register: RSVP by Tuesday, Feb. 21, to charterconf@ce.uoregon.edu. Please write "PCSGP Workshop" in the subject line and include your name, school affiliation, address, phone number and email address in your email. The workshop is free, but we also recommend that you attend the full conference. The 19th Annual California Charter Schools Conference &Advocacy Week will be held Feb. 27 - March 1, 2012 at the Sacramento Convention Center. Register today at www.charterconference.org.
