California Registers Significant Growth Of New Charters, Enrollment

This week, the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) announced the number of new charter schools that opened throughout the state this school year. The growth was phenomenal: with 100 new schools, the total now stands at 982, the most charter schools of any state in the nation. In addition, enrollment also increased by more than 13%, with charter schools now serving more than 412,000 students.
