September 16, 2010 Join us for a free Prop. 39 workshop for CCSA members. The Association's Legal Advocacy Team and the law firm of Middleton, Young & Minney will provide charter schools and charter school developers with an overview of Proposition 39, the law that requires school districts to provide reasonably equivalent facilities to charter schools. Under Prop. 39, all schools and school developers must submit their requests for facilities for the 2011-12 school year no later than November 1, 2010.
The workshop will help you answer the following questions:
- What is your school entitled to under Prop. 39?
- What do you need to know to prepare a strong Prop. 39 request?
- How do you negotiate for Prop. 39 facilities with the school district?
We will also review the updated Prop. 39 template request for facilities for the 2011-12 school year and share other CCSA Prop.39 resources.
Don't miss this opportunity to get all the latest information about Prop.39 and learn whether districts across the state are meeting their duties under the law.
