When the San Bernadino City Unified School District decided to abandon a plan to turn six district campuses into charter schools, the San Bernadino Sun editorialized that the district missed a shot at innovation. In making the decision, "The school board has chosen a path that is well-defined and called it 'good enough.' When it comes to our children and our schools, 'good enough' is anything but."
Now, some of the teachers who put together the charter school plan abandoned by the Board have expressed their disappointment with the decision, questioning whether the District's efforts will go far enough. Read their op ed.
