Carrie Walton Penner

Carrie Walton Penner has been engaged in education research, evaluation, philanthropy and advocacy for over twenty years. The focus of her activities has been on improving access to high-quality schools for every child, particularly in low-income communities. She is a member of the Walton Family Foundation Board of Directors. A graduate of Georgetown University, Carrie holds two master's degrees from the Stanford University School of Education - one in Administration and Policy Analysis and the second in Program Evaluation. She serves on the boards of several organizations, including the KIPP Foundation, the Charter School Growth Fund, the California Charter Schools Association, EdVoice, Innovate Public Schools and the Stanford University Graduate School of Education.
Carrie resides in northern California with her husband and children.
